A Special Thank You From A Soon To Be New Jersey Bed Bug

Aaaahhhh, Thanksgiving….

It’s truly is my most favorite time of the year for several different reasons.  Thanksgiving is the busiest travel season, so for us bed bugs, it is wonderful time to have our nightly nibbles of fresh human travelers that are visiting hotels and motels across the United States.

The great thing is that despite my picture being plastered on newspapers across the country and on internet articles every day, many people do not know that it is pretty easy to spot a bed bug infestation in a hotel or motel when they are traveling.

Thanksgiving also allows us a great opportunity to travel as well.   We love hitchhiking and can’t be seen when we are hiding in the crevices of suitcases unless you look very closely.  When people use the dresser drawers in a hotel room, we consider it an open invitation to climb aboard clothing for a ride home with visitors.  I can even hitch a ride in airplane cargo hold areas by crawling out of one suitcase and into another.  Oh yes, I do love the Thanksgiving holiday travel season!

When travelers arrive back home, they may not know that I will be lurking in the suitcase and they won’t always think to give it a good vacuuming to get rid of me.  Clothing must be washed and dried on hot in order to kill me, but many people don’t know that, or will forget, so I should be safe.

Because I am girl, I have already laid some eggs too, and I am eagerly expecting the arrival my little babies very soon.  Before you know it, I will have many other bed bugs to spend my time with.  It will be fun finding our new bedrooms together.

I have heard from my other bed bug friends and family members that New Jersey is a fabulous place to reside so I am looking forward to checking out my new home and family.  Hopefully folks will not realize that they have been exposed to bed bugs this Thanksgiving or they just might consider hiring a licensed New Jersey pest control expert which would put an end to my holiday fun before I can have an extensive family of my own!
