Three Bed Bugs Close Down Four Denver Schools

Some Denver kids are surely taking delight in the sudden closure of four schools on Denver’s West Campus because three bed bugs were found creeping around.  Some Monmouth County NJ exterminators believe that closing the schools was over-kill while others believe that you just can’t be safe enough when it comes to controlling bed bugs.  After all, nobody wants their kiddo to come home with blood sucking insects that multiply out-of-control.

Bed bugs are typically nocturnal creatures and schools are not their typical abode, but bed bugs have proven to be very adaptable to their living conditions, even if those conditions include living in a school.  Basically with bed bugs, no matter where they are located, if they are hungry, they will feed upon the first warm blooded human or animal that they find.

CBS Denver reported on October 14, 2013 that Denver’s West Campus will remain closed while “exterminators work to ensure that the campus is bed bug free.”  Kudos to the exterminators for working so hard to find these little pests, but administrators, teachers, maintenance, students, and parents need to keep their guard up where bed bugs are concerned.  Any building can be bed bug free one day and have bed bugs the next as you never know when bed bug eggs will hatch and nymphs will be creeping around.

If you think you have bed bugs in your home or business, call a Monmouth County NJ exterminator for expert services.
