College Students Find Nighttime Creepers Ready To Suck Their Blood

Parents work hard to prepare their children for life as a college student.  New bedding, towels, clothing, and computers are the normal items that are brought into dorms with each student.  Unfortunately, some students may also be bringing along another item that won’t be welcome by any student in a dorm room… bed bugs!

The Daily Princtanian reported on September 29, 2013 that students in a quad dorm reportedly awoke to itchy bed bug bites throughout their bodies.  An inspection of their bed revealed a pile of bed bugs huddled together awaiting darkness so that the can have their next meal.

After reporting the incident, the students were each given a single room to enjoy while the bed bugs were being destroyed by an exterminator.  The bad news is that either the bed bugs were not killed in the first place, or they were living in the walls, or they were located in the neighboring dorm room.  Once the students returned to their dorms, it did not long for the bed bugs to start biting once again.

Bed bugs are sneaky critters that can hide most anyplace in a home or business.  Bed frames, headboards, and mattresses are some of their favorite spots because they will have access to their favorite nighttime snacks…sleeping people.  Gym bags, laptop, text books, alarm clocks and even televisions can provide a safe haven for the next generation of bed bugs.

A Monmouth County NJ exterminator will be able to properly keep bed bugs from biting.  Call Allison Pest Control today.
