An ebola-like disease known as Lassa fever<\/a> caused the death of a man in New Jersey in May 2015. Since this disease can be spread via contact with rodent droppings, it\u2019s important to know a bit about it.<\/p>\n

Lassa fever is an infectious disease that is typically found in parts of Africa, including Nigeria and Liberia. It causes symptoms ranging from a mild fever to hemorrhaging and respiratory distress in severe cases. The NJ man who died from this illness had traveled to Liberia recently, where he is believed to have caught this disease.
