Women Are Coming To Pest Control<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The pest control industry has mainly been a male one, but that\u2019s been starting to change in recent years. More and more women are becoming pest control<\/a> professionals and helping homeowners get rid of unwanted critters.<\/p>\n

While just under 4 percent of pest control workers<\/a> are currently women, the Department of Labor expects that number to increase by around 20 percent over the next 10 years.<\/p>\n

Women are feeling more comfortable in the working environment within the industry, and changes in pest control methods are also making a difference. Instead of just going in and spraying pesticides in order to get rid of pests, the industry is moving toward using a wide range of methods that are less harmful and destructive overall.<\/p>\n

This provides women in the industry with a chance to use different techniques in the field. It also means that there are more pest control<\/a> jobs available for women in training, upper management and other areas. Women in the industry have also reported finding pest control a more welcoming field to work in than it was in the past, which is drawing even more women to this line of work.<\/p>\n
