Ants, which are considered pests, act in complex ways that closely match human behavior:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ants are dominant in whatever territory they enter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ants create \u201ccities\u201d that house high-density populations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ants travel long distances and come in contact with other ants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ants have an planned system for preventing the spread of disease.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The research will also help them to\u00a0better understand ant behavior so they can create news ways to stop ants from spreading in homes and damaging crops.
