\"\"<\/a>Bed bugs<\/a> are known for the sneaky behavioral patterns.\u00a0 They can hitch a ride in any type of item with the greatest of ease.\u00a0 Over the past few months, bed bugs have enjoyed the spotlight in the news as the pest to avoid in movie theaters, luxury hotels, retail stores, office buildings, court rooms, college dorms, public schools, youth camps, and the list goes on and on.\u00a0 Bed bug infestations have increased by more than 500% across the United States over the last 10 years. The resurgence of bed bug infestations cannot be denied.<\/p>\n

You won\u2019t see bed bugs walking down the street like other types of annoying bugs.\u00a0 Bed bugs<\/a> are lazy, cowardly, and opportunistic.\u00a0 They hide in dark cracks and crevices waiting for the perfect time to strike their next victim.\u00a0 There is no particular pattern that can be followed with their hitchhiking endeavors.\u00a0 Basically, if they happen to choose to hide in a purse, clothing, computer, luggage piece, IPOD, umbrella, or shoe, it is just by chance.\u00a0 If you have a New Jersey bed bug infestation<\/a> or an infestation anywhere in the US, you never know when or where you will be transporting them, or where you might be unfortunate enough to pick them up.<\/p>\n

Bed bugs<\/a> appear where people are.\u00a0 It stands to reason that places where there is a high activity of people coming and going will also have a higher potential of bed bug problems. Hospitals are definitely a hot spot for bed bug<\/a> activity.\u00a0 This past July, Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York shut down an ER triage room because a bed bug was found.\u00a0 The Central Maine Medical Center recently had to close down their surgical unit while they fought to get rid of the nasty blood suckers as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n
