There is no such thing as one mouse — at least not for long! Mice are prolific breeders. Mice<\/a> reach maturity in just 35 days. Pregnancies last 20 days with litters averaging six pups. Since female mice can have about eight litters each year, a single mouse can increase the local rodent population by nearly 50 mice per year! It doesn\u2019t take a math wiz to see how a couple of mice can quickly explode into a major rodent infestation.<\/p>\n

When all its needs are met, a mouse may spend its entire life within 10 feet of its nest which means that all those mice are going to keep crowding into your home or garage. Since a single mouse drops about 70 fecal pellets a day, it doesn\u2019t take long for these pests to make themselves known.
