Another means of control that homeowners have tried to kill bed bugs is using mothballs.\u00a0 Reports from the team at Rutgers University revealed that eggs and nymphs survived the mothball treatment, but 44 to 60 percent of adult males died when being subjected to the toxic mothballs.<\/p>\n

Studies were also completed on ultrasonic bed bug repelling devices, which debunked the theory that they are able to repel any bed bugs from any area.\u00a0 Researchers used dry ice on hard to treat items as well.\u00a0 This process worked, but could prove a dangerous means of control for consumers.<\/p>\n
