\"\"<\/a>They don\u2019t bite, they don\u2019t sting, and they don\u2019t eat away at your structure.\u00a0 They don\u2019t spread disease, they don\u2019t burrow into your skin and suck your blood, they don\u2019t infest your pets bedding, and they are not microscopic so spotting them is quite easy.\u00a0 You won\u2019t find them in the sand, they don\u2019t appear to cause allergies, asthma, or pulmonary disease, and they won\u2019t eat your furs, grains, nuts, or cereals.\u00a0 They don\u2019t have pinchers, they are not hairy, they don\u2019t have long legs, they don\u2019t have spots, and they don\u2019t live under rocks or in the mulch.\u00a0 Have you guessed what particular pest I am describing yet?\u00a0 Despite the things it does not do or have\u2026the dreaded Marmorated Stink Bug<\/a> is bugging the daylights out of the folks in New Jersey!<\/p>\n

New Jersey stink bug<\/a> populations are expected to reach record numbers this year say NJ pest control professionals<\/a>.\u00a0 Although stink bugs won\u2019t hurt you physically, they are an invasive and smelly species that must be eradicated!<\/p>\n

Since their 1998 accidental arrival in Pennsylvania from Asia, these stinky pests have destroyed many crops.\u00a0 Reports are the some farmers have resorted to lighting their entire fields on fire to destroy their stink bug infestation.\u00a0 There have been reports of up to a 70% loss of some types of crops in the United States thus far.\u00a0 Tomatoes, corn, peaches, apples, grapes, pears, and peppers are only some of the foods that stink bugs will consume and destroy.\u00a0 Left to their own devices, they will also destroy backyard gardens as well.<\/p>\n

Not native to the United States, there are not many known predators for this prehistoric looking creature.\u00a0 The following bugs do find the stink bug to be a tasty treat\u2026<\/p>\n
