Ants and gnats aren\u2019t the only insects that are drawn to food supplies. There are several other species, including Indian meal moths<\/a> and saw-toothed grain beetles, that you might find in your pantry.<\/p>\n

Pantry pests<\/a> typically infest certain kinds of food products, such as grains, dog and cat foods, herbs and spices, dried dairy products and nuts. They make themselves at home, then deposit eggs in or near these products. If you have these moths or beetles in your pantry, you might see them as larvae or adults.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, if you do have them, you\u2019ll need to toss out any food items that they\u2019ve gotten into. While they aren\u2019t known for spreading disease, foods that they\u2019ve been in generally aren\u2019t considered safe to eat.<\/p>\n
