\u2022\u00a0Only the female carpenter bee does the nest building.\u00a0 The female carpenter bee will work hard to drill out a nickel sized hole that is perfectly dug.\u00a0 She will dig a couple of inches in and then move at a right angle following the grain of wood.<\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0Male carpenter bees put on a \u201ctough guy\u201d act as they buzz around and try to intimidate anyone that is near them.<\/p>\n
