\"Allison<\/a>Bed bug infestations<\/a> have caused serious disputes between landlords and tenants throughout the United States report Monmouth County, NJ pest control<\/a> professionals.\u00a0 The massive outbreak of the bloodsucking pests has prompted many municipalities to create regulations spelling out who is responsible for bed bug eradication services<\/a> if a rental property becomes infested.<\/p>\n

Some laws in some states tend to favor the tenants while others tend to favor the landlords.\u00a0 The major issues with bed bug infestations often arise when either party refuses to abide by the laws that are created.\u00a0 When no laws exist on the books to protect either party, tenants often refuse to pay their rent and landlords refuse to treat the bed bugs or attempt to pass along the eradication costs onto the tenants.<\/p>\n

Passing on the cost to tenants is often rebuked as tenants feel as if they are not responsible for creating the infestation, especially when the bed bugs have come from an adjoining unit.<\/p>\n

In addition, every state has laws that require rental properties to remain freeof vermin, yet in some locals, bed bugs are not considered to be vermin.\u00a0 The lack of definitive direction from government officials often causes tenants to treat bed bug infestations on their own, which is never a good idea as store bought pesticides have proven to be ineffective at killing bed bugs at any life stage.\u00a0 Tenants treating bed bugs on their own is like putting a band aid on an open wound that needs stitches, and hoping that it will heal properly.\u00a0 Like with bed bug infestations, you can expect that the situation will become worsened.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
