If the man had not been removed and court proceedings were to continue, bed bugs<\/a> could have easily crawled off of the man and found their way into any crack or crevice on the bench seating of the courtroom.\u00a0 Because of their stealthy ability to withstand eating for a long period of time, the bed bugs<\/a> could choose to stay put, or choose to venture out into other areas within the building.\u00a0 If they had already received a blood meal, which is most likely since they were traveling on the man, the females will lay eggs as they go along, infesting all areas that they travel through the building.<\/p>\n

On the flipside, what if the judge had done nothing and allowed court to proceed despite the bed bugs being present in her courtroom?\u00a0 If other courtroom attendees had their homes become infested or had the building become infested because of her decision, there would be a massive outcry as well.<\/p>\n

For those that are complaining that the judge made the wrong decision to clear the courtroom and call a licensed pest control expert<\/a> to look for a kill any remaining bed bugs in her courtroom, they should ask themselves this question…\u201dDo I want to bring bed bugs home from court?\u201d<\/p>\n
