Don’t Let Pigeons Take Over We Install Bird Barrier Products

Piles of pigeon poop taking a toll on your business property – and your sanity?  Fight the good fight against these disease carrying dung distributors with these no-nonsense pigeon-proofing tips:

  • Don’t feed the birds.
This includes the unintentional feeding of garbage, spilled food, dog and cat food, berries and fruits from trees, lawn seed, and more. If you want to keep the smaller birds but nix the pigeons, use pigeon-proof feeders and don’t toss seed on the ground. Preventing access to foods is a key deterrent and will effectively reduce pigeon numbers.
  • Prevent roosting and nesting.
Tie a line of weatherproof string across perching areas to make make roosting difficult, or install anti-roosting spike strips or other devices. Stay on top of pigeon-proofing to minimize destruction.
  • Close off entrances.
Close entrances from attic and soffit vents as well as other openings and edges where pigeons may nest, using netting to prevent access. For large openings, such as doors, door curtains and plastic sheeting effectively discourage entry.
  • Scare ‘em!
Use plastic or concrete owl and hawk statues – pigeon predators – near roosting areas to frighten pigeons away.
